Privacy Policy

This blog is a personal project. It has no advertising, no user accounts, no newsletter, no tracking pixels, and no comment system. That said, running any website involves some data processing by default — from the hosting provider’s server logs to the third-party services that make the site work. This page explains what happens to your data when you visit, and what your rights are.

Who is responsible for this site

This site is operated by virtual4real (virtual4real@proton.me). For any questions or requests related to your data, you can contact me at that address. The site is hosted on IONOS and deployed via IONOS Deploy Now.

What data is collected and why

Server logs. Like all web servers, IONOS records access logs that include your IP address, the page you requested, the date and time of the request, and your browser’s user agent string. These logs are retained by IONOS for a limited period for operational and security purposes. I do not access or process these logs individually. IP addresses are considered personal data under GDPR.

Contact form. If you use the contact form on this site, the information you submit (name, email address, message) is sent directly to me by email. It is not stored in any database on this site. I will use it only to respond to your message and will not pass it to third parties.

Cookies

This site does not set any cookies of its own. No analytics or tracking scripts are loaded.

Third-party services

A small number of external services are used to deliver this site:

IONOS / Deploy Now handles hosting and deployment. Their privacy policy applies to server-level data: ionos.com/terms-gtc/privacy-policy.

Bunny Fonts (fonts.bunny.net) is used to serve the site’s typeface. Bunny Fonts is a privacy-first alternative to Google Fonts operated by bunny.net (Slovenia, EU). It does not log IP addresses or track users. Their privacy policy is available at bunny.net/privacy.

No social embeds, no advertising networks, and no third-party comment systems are used on this site.

Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access the personal data held about you
  • The right to have inaccurate data corrected
  • The right to have your data deleted (the right to erasure)
  • The right to restrict processing of your data
  • The right to object to processing
  • The right to data portability

Because this site collects very little personal data directly, most of these rights apply primarily to server log data held by IONOS. To exercise your rights regarding that data, contact IONOS directly.

For any data submitted through the contact form, send a request to virtual4real@proton.me and I will respond within 30 days.

If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Posts on this blog may link to external websites. Once you leave this site, this privacy policy no longer applies. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of linked sites.
